THE FISH WE CATCH

MARCH - JULY and OCTOBER - mid DECEMBER:   Sportfishing is outstanding in these months since many species are migrating by Sarasota in the Gulf of Mexico. We go after schools of king mackerel, tuna and barracuda for their spectacular jumps and lightning fast runs. The kids can handle the smaller ones, and the adults usually battle the 20 pounders and any larger species such as cobia and shark. Anchoring over reefs and ledges gives everyone a shot at a tug-of-war with bottom fish like grouper or snapper which bite year-round. Catch A Memory Fishing Charters supports catch-and-release practices, but customers may of course keep any fish meeting size limits and regulations.
