THE FISH WE CATCH

CATCH A MEMORY CHARTERS supports "catch & release" with a great photo, but customers may keep any fish meeting size limits and regulations. We fish offshore to 10 miles in the Gulf of Mexico, in sight of land. Fishing here is outstanding from March through November when many sport species migrate by Sarasota. We go after schools of king mackerel, tuna and barracuda for their spectacular jumps and lightning fast runs. The kids can handle the smaller ones. Adults and teens battle those over 15 pounds and larger species such as cobia, amberjack, shark or goliath grouper. Anchoring over reefs and ledges gives everyone a shot at a tug-of-war with bottom fish like a grouper or snapper.
